Problem Note 53866: Garbage characters result when you use the BULKLOAD=YES option to insert double-byte character set (DBCS) data into a Microsoft SQL Server table
In the UTF-8 version of SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC, garbage characters result when you use the BULKLOAD=YES option to insert double-byte character set (DBCS) data into Microsoft SQL Server tables.
This problem occurs because the BULKLOAD= option is not designed to work with Unicode characters.
If you use BULKLOAD=NO (the default option), the problem does not occur.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
In the UTF-8 version of SAS/ACCESS® Interface to ODBC, using the BULKLOAD=YES option to insert DBCS data into Microsoft SQL Server tables results in the insertion of garbage characters. If you use BULKLOAD=NO (the default option), the problem does not persist.
